PASTORS DIARY:
Monday 14th July.Dear readers, What a joy to see my sister so well and having a clean bill of health after being diagnosed with cancer. She feels so well and is giving the glory to the Lord. God is a healing God! I am also happy to report that the baby, Zion, that we prayed for is thriving. I received a wonderful testimony on Friday from a sister in Orange who received a word of knowledge last September from a visiting evangelist at Emmanuel CFC. He discerned that an operation was pending. Her doctor had suggested it to clear up a problem she had with haemorrhaging No one knew of this diagnosis except two people (and of course God) Her condition was unchanged for two months after receiving the word of knowledge but during that time she stood on God’s Word and BELIEVED HE HAD HEALED HER. She went back to the doctor last Monday, had an ultra sound and her uterus is ABSOLUTELY CLEAR No operation is necessary and he doesn’t want to see her in the foreseeable future. GOOD NEWS How important it is for us to keep humble when God uses us. We heard a wonderful message from my assistant Pastor yesterday about Samson. God used him mightily in his early ministry but when presumption and a careless attitude developed towards the awesomeness of God’s anointing on his life, his eyes were blinded to the truth and he became entrapped and lost his anointing. In his case after the spiritual blinding came physical blinding but God gave him a wonderful chance to fulfil his purpose at the end of his life. I am so glad that God is a God of the second chance. So if you are reading this diary and feel your life has lost it’s God given direction call out to Him and He will show you the way again and the end of your life will be greater than the beginning. I was saddened this morning to hear of the suicide of the father of a family who ceased attending here about 4 years ago. It is so important to stay in a Christian Community and ask for help if ever you are tormented by doubts, fears and perceive your life as a failure. Please don’t stay in the mire of unbelief and doubt but rise up in Jesus Name to the heights He has purchased for you. In the case of suicide there is more often than not a curse on the family. He needed discerning ministry that is available in the Body of Christ. Apparently his sister suicided as well so I feel concern now for this family line. Jesus became a cruse for us that all curses could be broken off our lives. The Bible in Deuteronomy lists those activities that bring curses upon our families. These are often passed down from generation to generation and can be detected when family patterns are seen. Jesus is the answer for everything. In the time when marriage covenants are being broken left, right and centre it was a great joy to pray over an Indigenous couple yesterday who are celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary. They are not only together but still love each other are work as a team in ministry. A joy for them is that their eldest daughter recently surrendered her life to Jesus after 35+ years of hardening her heart against the Lord. Never never never never never give up! Love Ps Barbara |
